The OnePlus Nord 2 5G India launch date has been set for July 22, according to Amazon.

 

The OnePlus Nord 2 5G will be available in India on July 22, according to a special listing on Amazon. The new revelation comes only days after OnePlus formally acknowledged the existence of the new Nord phone and stated it would be powered by an upgraded MediaTek SoC. The OnePlus Nord 2 5G will be the successor of the OnePlus Nord, which was released in July of last year. The next smartphone is expected to keep the hole-punch display feature first seen on the OnePlus Nord last year.

Amazon India has a dedicated homepage for the OnePlus Nord 2 5G. The listing does not disclose any other information regarding the smartphone, but it does explicitly state its debut date.

“Join us on July 22 as we officially offer the OnePlus Nord 2 5G to our users in Europe and India,” according to a note on the Amazon listing.

OnePlus confirmed the existence of the OnePlus Nord 2 5G earlier this week, and revealed that it would be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1200-AI SoC, a tuned version of the existing Dimensity 1200 CPU.

The OnePlus Nord 2 5G could be available for purchase in India during Amazon's Prime Day deal. According to a tweet from the online marketplace, the annual sale will take place on July 26–27.

The price of the OnePlus Nord 2 5G in India is yet to be announced. However, a rumor has it that the phone will be released at a price of CNY 2,000. (roughly Rs. 23,000).

To put things into perspective, the OnePlus Nord was released in the Indian market with a starting price of Rs. 24,999.

Specifications for the OnePlus Nord 2 5G (expected)

In terms of features, the OnePlus Nord 2 5G is said to include a 6.43-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a triple rear camera arrangement with a 50-megapixel primary sensor. A 32-megapixel selfie camera sensor is also expected on the smartphone. It may also come in 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB storage configurations. The OnePlus Nord 2 5G may reportedly sport an in-display fingerprint sensor and a 4,500mAh battery.
